JHernando automates Antonio de Miguel´s new facilities
Antonio de Miguel, Spain's leading delicatessen food distribution company, has entrusted JHernando with the implementation of a modern automated order picking solution at its headquarters in Pinto (Madrid, Spain).
Divided into four main areas (feeding area, order picking area, palletising area and sorting area), the feeding area starts with an accumulation line for bags of polystyrene boxes, which transports them to an automatic destacker, which unifies and introduces the boxes one by one.
Then, in the picking area, the empty boxes are automatically distributed to the 8 work stations of the installation, where Antonio de Miguel's operators place the orders and return the boxes to the line, where two automatic sealers, one of them multi-format, await them before continuing their journey to the palletising area.
The Pinto headquarters has two palletising points. In the first, which is automatic, JHernando has integrated a palletising robot arm that forms mosaics of boxes with subsequent pallet filming by means of a shrink wrapper. To reach the second point, orders are introduced into a TramoSort sorting system with 16 outputs where operators manually palletise the boxes.
Thanks to the cutting-edge technologies supplied by JHernando, Antonio de Miguel's picking management capacity at its Pinto warehouse will enable them to process their shipments faster and minimise errors, thus consolidating their leading position in the market.
